One could fill a book with statistics about the 2012 Olympics, in which the media activity could warrant a chapter of its own. A global audience of four billion are said to have viewed the opening ceremony, while 26,000 members of the profession were based in London for the event, requiring facilities large enough to house five jumbo jets, wing to wing.
D.O.T’s involvement included moving no less than eight 40ft seafreight containers and 20 tons of airfreight on behalf of our long-standing client NBC. The broadcast equipment was brought from and returned to New York and D.O.T’s Operations Manager was dedicated to overseeing the entire process.
